Do You Know Jesus?
Perhaps you’ve heard about Jesus Christ but wondered what it truly means to know Him personally.
At Bethel, we believe that knowing Jesus begins with faith and understanding God’s love for us. Whether you’re exploring Christianity for the first time or seeking to renew your relationship with Christ, we invite you to discover the hope, forgiveness, and new life found in Him.
What Does It Mean to Know Jesus?
Knowing Jesus is more than knowing His name, attending church, or being familiar with the Bible. It’s about developing a personal relationship with Him, built on faith, trust, and an understanding of God’s love.
The Bible reminds us that God loves us and offers forgiveness, hope, and new life through Jesus Christ. You don’t have to have all the answers or have everything in your life figured out before coming to Him.
You can begin right where you are.
How Can I Begin a Relationship with Jesus?
Beginning a relationship with Jesus starts with faith. You don’t need to have everything figured out. God invites you to come to Him just as you are.
Recognize God’s Love
God loves you and desires a personal relationship with you. John 3:16 reminds us that God’s love is so great that He gave His only Son so that we might have eternal life.
Believe in Jesus Christ
Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and that God raised Him from the dead. Through Him, we receive the gift of salvation.
Turn to Him in Faith
Acknowledge your need for God’s forgiveness, turn away from sin, and place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
Begin Your Walk with Christ
Talk to God through prayer, read His Word, and connect with a church family that will encourage and support you as you grow in faith.
A Prayer of Faith
If you’re ready to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ, you can speak to Him in your own words. Prayer doesn’t have to be complicated. What matters is the sincerity of your heart.
Heavenly Father, I come to You knowing that I need Your love and forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son, that He died for my sins, and that You raised Him from the dead. I turn away from my sins and place my faith and trust in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Help me to follow You, grow in Your Word, and live according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Remember, salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ—not through the words of a particular prayer.
God’s Promise of Salvation
The Bible reminds us in Romans 10:9–10 that salvation comes through believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and openly acknowledging Him as Lord.
Salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.
We’d Love to Hear From You
If you’ve made a decision to follow Jesus today, or if you have questions about salvation and growing in your faith, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t have to take this journey alone. The Bethel church family is here to encourage you, pray with you, and help you take your next steps.
